Instructions Elon Musk and People-Centered Leadership Using at least six of the assigned readings, including all three foundational management/leadership sources (Black & La Venture, 2017; Mullins et al., 2001; Schein & Schein, 2021)—critically evaluate Elon Musk’s leadership style through the lens of people-centered leadership. Your analysis must address: 1. Leadership Alignment with People-Centered Principles – Assess how Musk’s leadership behaviors in cases such as his micromanagement style (Henderson, 2021; Landay & Levy, 2025), promotion of Dogecoin, and employee performance directives (Pavia, 2025) either support or contradict the values of people-centered cultures. 2. Ethical Leadership & Communication – Apply Moreno (2010) to evaluate Musk’s communication in both the “pedo guy” defamation case (BBC, 2019; Rawlinson, 2018) and in leadership transitions (O’Kane, 2018; Roth, 2024). Consider the effect on leader credibility and trust. 3. Leadership Recommendation – Based on your analysis, propose specific leadership strategies Musk could adopt to better embody people-centered principles and enhance long- term organizational success.
