Para el Trabajo Social, esta realidad no solo representa un objeto de estudio, sino el núcleo de su acción profesional y un desafío ético-político central. La profesión se ve interpelada a trascender los enfoques asistencialistas tradicionales para transitar hacia procesos de intervención crítica que reconozcan a los sujetos como portadores de derechos y promuevan la transformación social.
