These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AI Writer service (“Service”) provided by Uniwriter.ai.
Background
Uniwriter.ai’s AI writing service generates concise study guides intended solely for educational purposes, providing users with reference material to enhance understanding and facilitate independent learning. These guides summarise key concepts, ideas, and academic content clearly, assisting students in structuring their studies, revision, and research.
Academic integrity and permitted usage
- The AI-generated content provided by this service is intended solely for reference, guidance, research, or general educational purposes.
- Users must not submit any AI-generated essay or assignment, either wholly or in part, as their own original work to any educational institution, examination board, or awarding body.
- Any request from users implying intent to submit generated content as original academic work will result in immediate account termination.
Prohibited use and offences
- It is strictly prohibited to use our AI writing service to complete or submit assignments, assessments, examinations, or coursework that students are required to complete personally as per the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022.
- We explicitly disclaim responsibility and liability if a user violates this term.
- Users acknowledge that submitting our generated content as their own assignment or coursework could constitute an offence under the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022.
- Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Uniwriter.ai from any claims, damages, legal actions, or penalties arising from their misuse of the service, specifically including violations of academic integrity or relevant legislation.
Usage limits and registration
- Users may generate essays of up to 1,000 words without registering, using only our basic AI model.
- Users may generate essays of up to 1,500 words using our basic AI model, if registered.
- Intermediate and premium models require registration and payment of a fee.
- Essays generated using our Basic AI model may be publicly published on our site at our discretion.
- Users registering an account agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping their account secure.
Wallet and payments
- Users may top-up their wallet balance via Stripe, with payments processed securely. Wallet balances may only be withdrawn under exceptional circumstances and at our sole discretion.
- Transactions appear on users’ bank statements with the word THREADER.
- If an account is terminated due to misuse, remaining wallet balances may be forfeited.
- We reserve the right to deduct funds directly from your wallet for services provided.
Essay quality and guarantees
- Basic essays are generated to a 2:2 academic standard. No guarantee of grade is offered.
- Intermediate essays use a intermediate AI model, and premium essays use a premium AI model, each aiming for higher academic standards as specified. Uniwriter.ai’s prompts are highly detailed and tailored to guide the AI in generating the standard requested.
- If the generated essay falls short of the purchased quality standard (intermediate or premium), users who select the optional “Grade Guarantee” (additional fee applies) may be eligible for a refund.
- If the verification report confirms the essay does not meet the purchased grade standard, users may request a refund through our support email address or form.
- Refunds will not be granted if it is determined that the user intentionally instructed the AI to produce a poor-quality or non-academic essay.
Refund Policy
- Refund requests must be supported by a grade guarantee failure report.
- Intentional generation of inadequate or junk content to claim refunds constitutes misuse and will void refund eligibility.
- Due to the nature of AI-generated content, occasionally the AI may generate incorrect or fictitious references (“hallucinations”). This is an inherent limitation of AI technology. Users accept this risk when using the service.
- Refunds will only be considered if the user can demonstrate clearly that more than 50% of the references provided in a premium or intermediate-level essay are entirely fabricated or non-existent. Incorrect or broken links to otherwise legitimate references do not constitute fabricated references and will not qualify for a refund.
- Any refund request based on reference fabrication must be supported by clear evidence demonstrating the proportion of entirely non-existent references, and refunds will be reviewed manually at our sole discretion.
- Refunds are assessed manually and processed within 14 working days from approval.
- Eligible refunds will be made via Stripe to the original payment card.
Misuse and account termination
- Deliberate misuse of the service, including but not limited to intentionally generating substandard content or violating these terms, will lead to account termination without refund.
- We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, particularly where misuse or fraud is suspected.
Liability and indemnification
- We are not responsible for any academic or professional consequences resulting from the use of our generated content.
- Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Uniwriter.ai, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims or damages arising from their use of the Service.
Amendments
- We may update these Terms periodically. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or on-site notices. Continued use after updates indicates acceptance of new terms.
Governing Law
- These terms are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved within the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
