We all represent a complex configuration of statuses, and our identities reflect the different ways those statuses come together. There are real people in the statistics described above, and they live their lives at these intersections. In this reflection, let’s personalize those people in your figure. First, regardless of age or race/ethnicity, how might the Americans in your figure who identify as LGBT share similarities in what others expect of them and what opportunities are available to them.
