Nevertheless, the affidavits must be free from defects that would render them liable to be struck out. It is thus incumbent on the litigants and their legal counsel to ensure that the affidavits so filed and sought to be relied upon pass the legal threshold, otherwise, they risk having the said affidavits struck out or expunged from the Court record for want of compliance with the applicable law.
