The lack of financial resources for sports programmes and equipment for PE teachers is important. I found that this directly impacts students’ development of basic skills and physical health, while also undermining the government’s efforts to provide a holistic education. The lack of equipment for PE teachers makes it difficult for them to deliver the curriculum effectively or create an environment that encourages active participation and skill-development among students. To alleviate this, the government first needs to assess the inventory of equipment and the needs of PE teachers so it can identify the resources. Sports programmes need adequate funding to give students the best environment to showcase their skills. I experience situations where sports programs are either completely suspended or their quality is lowered due to a lack of funds. These issues can deprive students of valuable experiences that may cause them to miss out on opportunities, including scholarships or potential selection for national teams. I believe the government of Antigua and Barbuda can increase budget allocations specifically earmarked for physical education and sports infrastructure, which are essential
